Natural Ectomycorrhizal Product

Is an inoculating product based on ectomycorrhizal fungi, which improves growth of the majority of woody plant species and resistance to environmental stresses including improved pathogen resistance. It causes better seedling establishment and survival and increases plant growth and root formation.

ECTOVIT^® is suitable for application in a nursery, forestry. It contains an inert carrier containing spores of ectomycorrhizal fungi and the second component is a liquid medium in polyethylene (PE) bags containing sterile grown mycelium of other ectomycorrhizal fungi selected from the gene bank collection according to the target woody species. The package also contains a sachet with a powder gel for root dipping applications.

Suitability For Plants

ECTOVIT^® is suitable for all conifers (pine, spruce, larch, juniper, etc.) and the majority of broadleaved trees – oak, beech, elm, hazel, birch, etc. Some woody plant species form both (ectomycorrhizal and endomycorrhizal) types of symbiosis (poplar, alder, linden, ash, willow, etc.) and have to be inoculated with a mixture of SYMBIVIT® and ECTOVIT®.

Application

Both components of ECTOVIT^® and powder gel are mixed with water to form a slurry, which is used for the dipping of bare roots or compact root balls. Gel can be also sprayed into the rooting zone of transplanted plants or onto the substrate before seed sowing.
